Stefan Pfrommer - CEO

Stefan Pfrommer has already been with Renata for close to 20 years. Since 2002, he has held management positions in various areas including R&D, business development and international industrial sales until he finally took over the role of CEO in 2008.

Stefan Pfrommer holds a degree in electrical engineering. His core competencies include project and technical management as well as small and medium-sized company management in the electrical engineering industry. Thanks to his many years of management experience, he maintains an overview even in hectic situations and leads the company in a sustainable manner.

Jürgen Ruther – Head of Marketing & Sales

Jürgen Ruther has joined Renata in July 2018 as Head of Marketing & Sales and member of the Executive Board. He has extensive professional and management experience in the international distribution of industrial products and the sale of consumer products to wholesalers. As a member of the Executive Board, he is also responsible for logistics and the R&D department at Renata.

 After his studies in communications engineering, Jürgen Ruther went directly into sales in the distribution environment. He held various division manager positions in the electrical industry. With his knowledge, he enriches the process optimisations and structure building in sales and other organisational units.

Lionella Appel – CFO

Lionella Appel has been with Renata since January 2009. She started her career as a controller. 

In 2012 she was promoted to CFO and at the same time became a member of the Executive Board. 

She is responsible for the Finance, Controlling and IT departments. 


Daniel Hunziker – Technical Manager

Daniel Hunziker started his career at Renata SA in 2005 as a production manager for silver oxide batteries. He joined the Executive Board in 2012. He currently heads the technical department with 35 employees. He is responsible for the maintenance (production facilities and buildings), construction and project management.

Daniel Hunziker holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Applied Sciences. In 2005 he successfully completed an EMBA at the FHBB. He has excellent knowledge in LEAN management and optimisation of productivity improvement processes. In his previous positions he was in charge of qualification and process validation for chemical and pharmaceutical production plants. He was furthermore responsible for productivity improvement and the introduction of production data acquisition.

Alberto Spielmann – Head of HR

Alberto Spielmann started his career at Renata as Key Account Manager in 2006 and then moved to Human Resources. He became Head of HR and member of the Executive Board in 2021. He has proven expertise in digitalisation processes and change management. 

For Alberto Spielmann, people are the top priority. His passions include human resources and organisational development. He is also a professional systemic coach.

Urs Renggli - COO

Urs Renggli joined Renata in 2006 and has been a member of the Executive Board since 2008. He started his career at Renata as a production manager for zinc-air batteries. Two years later he already took over the areas of lithium button cells and component manufacturing. In addition, he is responsible for the purchasing and production planning departments. Since 2021, Urs Renggli has been COO and consequently holds responsibility for the entire production. 

Urs Renggli has an extensive expertise in the various work processes as well as excellent management skills. For him, future-oriented and anticipatory planning is of crucial importance.
